23% net margin on a $7M restoration company.

That was mine. Restoration Heroes: bootstrapped in 2009 from a wrapped Tacoma and a $500 trailer, close to 40 people by year five, exited to an operator I trust. Now I do two things: I run home service businesses alongside their owners, and I buy them.

What I do now

Two ways in.

Everything I do runs on the same conviction: a business isn’t a sales problem or an ops problem or a money problem. It’s one machine, and the legs either pull together or they pull it apart.

01 · Work with me

I get the whole machine pulling one direction.

General management for $3M–$15M home service and trades companies: restoration, plumbing, HVAC, and their cousins. Sales, ops, and money as one system, worked from inside your business, not advised from the bleachers. Part-time or full-bore.

02 · Sell your business

I buy businesses like the one I built.

Home services, trades, or a steady local operation, in and around Idaho’s Treasure Valley. You get a buyer who has run the trucks, not a spreadsheet with a fund behind it. Full value, any structure, and a process built around you.

The story

Built from a truck and a $500 trailer.

I started Restoration Heroes in 2009: crawl spaces, mold scrapes, sales calls, middle-of-the-night emergencies. I did all of it, then built the team that did it better than me.

By year five: close to 40 people, past $7 million, and margins the spreadsheet-buyers kept asking me to explain. The brand is still one of the most respected restoration names in Orange County.

These days the thing I’m building is bigger than one company: two boys, a family headed for Idaho, and work I choose: running owner-led businesses from the inside, and looking for the next one worth buying.

I’m saying yes to podcasts right now.

If your audience is owners, operators, or men building something that outlasts them, I’ll bring real stories with real numbers. The wins and the scar tissue.
